Ten reasons to work for Beyond Limits

More about...

We are delighted to be expanding our existing services in the Southwest into the Dorset area and we are looking for a senior member of staff to head up this exciting development. The role will involve travelling as you will be working with people who are in out of area placements across the country. Our head office is in Plymouth where you will also need to be at times. There will also be a requirement for overnights away from home as you work with people in the transition stage before bringing them home to Dorset. Beyond Limits is an organisation that is rated outstanding by CQC and we are recognised as a leading provider for our work supporting people with learning disabilities, mental ill health, autism, and other social and emotional support needs. We design and deliver bespoke services, giving people the freedom to live in their own home, with their own team of support staff and the ability to have control over their life and future. We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated leader who has the skills to develop services from the ground up. You will need to be confident and have the ability to challenge conventional support systems and inspire others to follow your lead. A good dose of emotional intelligence is essential as you look to express leadership and work with autonomy as you develop systems which will make a real difference in people’s lives. Integrity and honesty are crucial and are key values for the organisation and we expect everyone to promote the values of inclusion. We are a learning organisation and have developed the capacity to continually adapt and change in line with people’s needs and wishes. As we develop our services to be more self-led in the future, a knowledge of coaching styles and experience in mentoring people would be advantageous. The role will be demanding but very rewarding as you look to free people from institutional living and we offer excellent training and ongoing support.

Ideally you will:

  • Have a relevant professional qualification
  • Have proven leadership skills
  • Be committed to the values of inclusion
  • Be an excellent communicator
  • Have a good level of IT skills
  • Do what it takes to deliver positive outcomes for people
  • Understand the importance of a good work culture
  • Have the ability to represent the organisation confidently

A DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) Check will be requested in the event of the individual being offered a position with Beyond Limits, the cost of which will be to the employee, however, this will be returned after successful completion of probation period (6 months).
